The ‘Solar Array’ Community Fund
Information about the ‘Solar Array’ Community Fund

Draycott Council administers a community-fund on behalf of the locally-based Lower Newton Solar Farm.
Since 2016, the business has donated approximately £2000 a year for projects within the local community.
RES Group https://www.res-group.com/en/ asked Draycott-in-the-Moors Parish Council to decide on which community projects should best be supported, and then to pass the money on to them if they are a Community Organisation or Charity Group or to manage the funds on a projects behalf if the activity is applied for by a member of the Community without a Community or Charity Committee or without a Community/Charity Bank Account to hold the funds. In this case funds can be Earmarked within the Council Accounts for specific projects and will be included in the Councils monthly statements on the Meeting Agenda.
If you have a project which will benefit this area and which needs funding or part-funding, please apply. You may be asked to a public meeting to present your project idea to the Council for a decision to be made. Further information may be required before the Council can make a decision
Please complete the form and return to the council Clerk
